Production tracking

Production tracking in CIM2000 centralises the registration and monitoring of all information related to the execution of a production order.

An important part of this process is material tracking. CIM2000 keeps track of the raw materials, products, items and other resources required and provides a clear overview of what must be available and when. Stock issues and incoming deliveries for an order can be registered, as well as actual material consumption and any material returned to stock.

Subcontracted operations can also be monitored separately, making it clear what has been sent to an external supplier and what has already been returned.

CIM2000 also records working hours per operation. This can be done through manual daily entry, production terminals or a PC on the shop floor.

Registration takes place in two stages:

  1. Shop-floor registration
    The employee or shift, work centre, start and end time, job or status, and number of produced parts are recorded. Downtime can also be registered together with its cause, such as a machine breakdown or missing material.
  2. Control and approval
    The recorded information is then made available to a responsible person, who can review, complete or correct the data before final processing.

Production managers can access various overviews, including:

  • work in progress;
  • planned work per department;
  • material issues and receipts;
  • production statistics for a selected period.

The information collected through production tracking is used directly in the post-calculation. Actual working hours and material consumption can therefore be compared with the original pre-calculation.
